Yong Deng received the Ph.D. degree in precise instrumentation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2003.,From 2005 to 2011, he was an Associate Professor with the Department of Instrument Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2010, he was a Professor with the School of Computer and Information Science, Southwest University, Chongqing, China. In 2012, he was a Visiting Professor with Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, USA. In 2016, he was a Professor with the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Xi’an Jiao Tong University, Xi’an, China. In 2017, he was a Full Professor with the Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Science, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China. In 2017, he was an Adjunct Professor with the Medical Center, Vanderbilt University. He has published more than 100 articles in refereed journals. His research interests include Dempster-Shafer evidence theory, decision-making, information fusion, and complex system modeling.
